Nix the Mix: An Evening of Fun For A Good Cause

Updated: Feb 26, 2021

The Brain Injury Society of Toronto and the Ontario Brain Injury Association presented: "Nix the Mix" an online event featuring a virtual celebrity chef cooking session, exclusive musical performance and a mixology session.

Although the event was virtual it was nothing short of interactive and lively. The recipe and ingredient list for a signature cocktail called the French 75 was sent to all participants beforehand along with the ingredient list for Chicken Pad Thai.

In these tough times it is always a pleasure to get together virtually with our colleagues for a good laugh and of course a good drink!

Interested in trying out the French 75 recipe at home? See ingredients below!

Ingredients

Gin

Champagne (or other sparkling wine)

Lemons (for fresh lemon juice and garnish)

Simple Syrup

Simple syrup is very easy to make. Simply add 1⁄2 cup of water and 1⁄2 cup of granulated sugar to a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until all the sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool and then pour into a sealable glass jar. Simple syrup will keep for about a month in the fridge.
